Guy Ritchie’s Snatch is one of the best British films ever made. It’s endearing, hilarious, so well performed and so definitive in it’s style and characters. So when the announcement came that they’d be developing a TV show, naturally, people were worried. The first trailer has arrived and, honestly…It doesn’t look too bad.

The show actually looks okay; the trailer sets up a nice atmosphere, with some half decent jokes, and it looks to be relatively entertaining. The thing is, it’s rather annoying that it’s adapted from Snatch because, bar a few plot elements, they could honestly have gotten away with calling this an original work that’s just inspired it. If anything, the show itself would actually look ten times better if we didn’t know it was adapted from the film. Still, it looks very decent, and might actually be worth our time.
