There are few jobs titles out there that can induce yawns quicker than that of accountant (second only to professional paint dryer.) Fortunately, Ben Affleck’s latest film The Accountant looks to be attempting to alter those perceptions, though the marketing department might still be struggling to break the relationship between accountancy and boredom, if the latest featurette is to be believed.
Taking a behind the scenes look at the film and interviewing several of the big names attached to the project, the short piece discusses the characterisation of the eponymous protagonist and how they have made such a mundane profession into a pulse-pounding, action-packed thriller.
Whether or not The Accountant will redefine the way we view the career will largely be dependent on how well the film keeps us enthralled.
