The Captain Underpants books were a little after my time, but I can remember my younger cousins extolling their delight at the witty stories and colourful characters.
Despite this, I would never have picked the series to be turned into a franchise on the Big Screen, but that’s what has happened given the brand new trailer to be released by Dreamworks.
The animated film stars the vocal talents of Kevin Hart and Thomas Middlemitch as two troublemaking schoolchildren who convince their principal (Ed Helms) that he’s the titular superhero “Captain Underpants!”
Naturally all manner of comical hijinks ensue and everyone has a good chuckle.
