From the looks of its latest trailer, Berlin Syndrome is not a film for the sort of person who wants to travel the world and explore new places.

The tension and quiet desperation that pervades throughout the trailer creates a chilling tale that appears to depict the opposite end of the events of Room, where a young woman is abducted and held prisoner in an apartment.

The emotion and claustrophobic sense of fear is almost palpable as you watch Teresa Palmer’s protagonist attempt to escape her captor and failing at every turn.

This film truly looks to be scarier on a conscious level than many of the horrors that are getting released this year…
