It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since Danny Boyle’s masterpiece Trainspotting came out. It seems like only yesterday we were wishing ourselves dead after watching a baby’s corpse crawl across the ceiling in one of the most terrifying scenes put to film. It’s a phenomenal film, and now the whole gang are back for another in T2: Trainspotting. Check out this exceptional international trailer.
First there was an opportunity……then there was a betrayal. Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.
T2 looks absolutely outstanding; this new trailer, which cuts together very fast paced, electrifying imagery while McGregor performs an updated version of the first film’s iconic opening, is very thrilling and before the film is even out, we’re already immersed back into the insane world of these four addicts. Hopefully, it can deliver on a very big promise.
T2: Trainspotting is out 27th January
