We are really obsessed with period dramas at the moment. The Crown, Young Victoria, and more. In fact any story that revolves around a figure in the past has us titillated and happy with unparalleled glee!
Allied, however, looks completely boring.
Allied is set in 1942 during the second World War, where n intelligence officer in North Africa (Pitt) encounters a female French Resistance fighter (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. When they reunite in London, their relationship is tested by the pressures of war.
Something has waned from the Brad Pitt hype we’ve all had. Could this be the film to scrape him back?
