Do you ever watch a trailer, and just could not have less of an idea of what you just saw?

Yeah. That’s Monster Trucks.

Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend.

I can’t really tell you what I was expecting. I don’t think I had any expectations to be perfectly honest. I just definitely wasn’t expecting this…I have so many questions. I’m now going to have to watch the film purely because I have so many questions, the main one being “Why is he so fucking chill about this?” This trailer will easily be the most bizarre thing you see all week, and the film, frankly, looks terrible.

Monster Trucks is out Boxing Day.
