The movie version of Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Event was something of a dud. Despite the best efforts of Jim Carrey, the film just couldn’t capture the sheer dark nature of the book series that it was based on. Anyway, Netflix has decided to rectify this with it’s own television series. Instead of Carrey, however, it’s Neil Patrick Harris who dons the winged hair and the fake nose.
The series revolves around orphaned children who, after the death of their parents, are unwillingly charged to their distant relative Count Olaf who happens to be fiendish in every sense of the word.
As Olaf says, we haven’t the faintest just how bad he can be, and whilst there is no plot, it definitely looks like a lot of fun!
