If ever there were a title that sounded like a horror film, A Monster Calls would be it.
Instead, it’s a coming of age story about dealing with loss and acceptance.
Every aspect of this trailer seems to drip with an almost saccharine sweetness that leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach, from the lovingly crafted zooms, to the vibrant CGI that permeates the latter half.
Almost all of this is underscored by the sonorous tones of Liam Neeson who plays the titular monster as he narrates the premise of the film.
A Monster Calls looks set to be one of the more moving films to come out in the next few months, and definitely one to keep an eye on.
