I have a confession to make. At the time of writing this article, I have not seen the first John Wick film…
I know. It is practically a sin against cinema itself, and I am unworthy to grace this page with my musings on the latest trailer for the sequel. But what the hell, I was never one for doing good things. I just do the job I’m told to do, no questions asked.
Fortunately, this trailer doesn’t spoil anything from the first film. Merely editing several of the gloriously scripted fighting and action sequences from the first film over the top of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture in a glorious marriage of classical music and violence.
As you watch it, your eyes will weep with joy as bad guy after bad guy gets shot, stabbed and punched through this wondrous escapade.
As for me, I’m going to watch the first film and prepare for the next!
