When it comes to serial killers, we tend to romanticise them in the sense that we see them as monsters: Detached from our own humanity and society so we can feel better about ourselves. It’s shocking to discover these people lived normal lives and had normal relationships. Because knowing their could be a killer in your midst is terrifying.
In My Friend Dahmer, the epitomes Jeffery is portrayed as a high school student leading up to his first ever murder in this exposing drama based on a series of graphic novels by Derf.
Starring Disney’s Ross Lynch (one day, maybe, he won’t have the Disney connotations,) this could be intriguing. But there’s always an air of exploitation when it comes to films of this nature. What do you think?
