A few decades ago, John Cusack was one of our greatest actors. From the late eighties as a teenage star to his nineties collection of indie hits, he has always been one of the best. Disappointingly, however, all dwindled and he starts showing up in shocking horrors or unknown films. What a fall from grace.
Hopefully, he can regain it all back with brand new film Cell, starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson.
Based on a book by Stephen King, the film revolves around the few survivors of a murderous epidemic. People have been re-programmed into dangerous predators, the cause of a mysterious worldwide phone signal.
Right, let’s deal with the fact that Jackson is dealing with the aftermath of a phone virus that turns folk into bloody-thirsty killers when Kingsman: The Secret Service saw him actually send a wave of signals to turn people into blood-thirsty killers. Ain’t life funny?
It’s good to see John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson back together again after their horror film 1408. So this could genuinely spark with greatness. What do you think?
